Melissa & Kevin – Wedding

October 26, 2011

Their meeting was not a meeting of chance, it was orchestrated by Kevin’s mom who saw something very special and very unique in Melissa the day she waited on her table. Kevin needed to meet this girl and his mom was going to help make it happen. She convinced Kevin to go to the same place for lunch and even called ahead to make sure Melissa would be there to serve him.

Kevin asked Melissa to recommend something from the menu. She obliged and suggested the daily special, Kevin agreed. Unfortunately, the special did not agree with Kevin and for the next 24 hours he found himself in the throws of some very serious food poison. However, he’d also walked away with Melissa’s phone number and a couple of days later, when he began feeling somewhat human again, Kevin called Melissa and took her out on their first date.¬†That was 4 years ago and this past weekend in the beautiful Fall sunshine of the North Georgia mountains, at the home of Kevin’s parents, Melissa and Kevin planned the most perfect rustic and romantic wedding. It was personalized and beautiful, but above all else, it was fun.

Melissa and Kevin, you are two of the most amazing people I could ever hope to meet. Both of you have become true friends and I was beyond honored to be part of your day. I hope your having a blast on your honeymoon, relaxing and soaking up every second of your time together.

I love Kevin’s parents home. And the views from their deck, breathtaking.

Melissa’s dress.

In keeping with the whole rustic theme, the bride donned a pair for cowboy boots.

The preparation.

I just love the expression on the face of Melissa’s dad when he walked into the room and saw his daughter as a bride.

Over at the grooms house, Kevin reads a special letter from Melissa.

Melissa, I can’t say enough times how completely stunning you are, f’real.

I just loved the pocket details of Melissa’s dress.

Workin it ladies.

Sellin the legs with cowboy boots.

Kevin has a very unique and daring sense of style and I knew he was going to bring a little some’n special to his day.

Sidenote: Kevin is a UGA fame.

Oh how I loved all of Kevin’s groomsmen, they made my job so easy and so much fun.

All the groomsmen got pocket knives as gifts and here they show their appreciation to Kevin for his thoughfulness.

The ceremony site.

Game time.

Melissa was radiant and beyond excited to be marrying the man of her dreams.

During the vows there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

On the left is Melissa’s something blue and a gift from her new husband.

Kevin and Melissa were amazing, after the ceremony while guests enjoyed cocktail hour, they carved out a large chunk of time for their bride and groom photos. A photographers dream and as a result we were able to capture some true fierceness.

Melissa, I can’t even find the words for how fierce you are.

I see beautiful kids in their future.

Rockin the boots.

Workin it Kevin.

In their early dating days, Melissa and Kevin would sit next to this pond for hours talking and counting frogs.

Personalized beer koozies, how can you not love this couple?

Dad just couldn’t keep it together.

Kevin’s dad watches on during the mother son dance.

After an evening of some hardcore dancing, the newlyweds where sent off in sparkling style.

Favorite part = pockets in a wedding dress.
Least favorite part = UGA fandom all over the groom.

Regardless, congratulations to all applicable parties.
