Merry Christmas

December 23, 2010

Those rumors about avalanche style snow storms blasting through Europe? All true, all of them. Ireland is basically a white sheet right now. This is a first, never in all my years do I recall Ireland having a white Christmas and I have to say, I’m loving it. Not so much when my dad and I went on a mission to pick up a Christmas tree and ended up feeling like a 2 man bobsleigh team as the car twisted, turned and slid its way down the icy roads. But as long as our next mission remains one of staying indoors with only the occasional dash out to the picnic bench to spread a little love in the form of bird seed, then it will be a blissful Christmas. Merry Christmas Y’all.

My dad is big old softy, see how he likes to take care of those who’s ability to forage for food is inhibited by the crazy weather. This little guy showed up this evening in the midst of a half hour blizzard to get first dips on the scattered seed.

This is the road that leads to my parents house. Although now it looks more like the road to Narnia.
