A few weeks ago I was excited to capture the first family photos of my good friends and former work colleges Taylor and Alli (who are also sisters-in-law. Confused yet?). I know I’ve mentioned it before. but just in case y’all need a little reminder, the 3 of us ladies were all preggers at the same time, all working under the one roof and all having boys. Yes, there was definitely something in the water at our office. Anywho, I wasn’t able to share their images at the time, as many of the photos were planned Christmas gifts for some very proud grandparents. Now at last, the gifts have been received so I am free to share the fierceness of these 2 hot momma’s and their adorable little families.

First up we have the Cole Family. Little Cannon and daddy Chris help me get my camera warmed up.

Cole Family, with Taylor, Chris and 9 month old Cannon.

Cannon is partial to rocking some sophisticated headwear.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE this. You can practically hear little Cannon yelling with excitement.

Fierce-ness!

Hot couple alert.

Someone is getting very comfortable on his legs.

Cute!

Even cuter.

Showing off some of his new teeth.

Cannon loves to play over-the-shoulder peek-a-boo with mom.

And is also not against nibbling on her nose.

Definitely some of my favorite shots from our session.

Can’t resist those chubby cheeks.

Next up we have the fabulous Perkins Family with Alli, Tyler and 3 month old baby Gavin.

Look how cute this little monster is. I wanted to put him in my pocket and run away, fast.

Workin it for the camera.

Cheeky!

What an adorably fierce looking family.

That sideways smile, Gavin is for sure planning something mischievous .

Pout pout.

Poor baby Gavin suffers from colic which can make him very uncomfortable and unhappy at times. But he was such a little trooper during our shoot.

Tiny piggies.

Swaddling him nice and tight and walking around always helps make him more comfortable. And since he was the star of the shoot, we were more than happy to oblige.

What do you know, it worked. He drifted right off.

Precious.

Awake to work his pout for a few final shots.

There’s that cheeky little smile again.

Group shot.

Baby’s First Christmas

December 25, 2012

Aaah, I just wanted to post a few photos of Keane having a blast with his cousins Paul and James on his very first Christmas. But the traffic on the world wide web, is currently moving at a snails pace. I’m about to lose it. My guess is that the entire world is trying to access this information highway all at once, thus making my 15 minute project a chore that has taken the best part of an hour. I’m over it. Its making me grumpy, Scrooge style. So before I step into hostility, here are a few snaps of Keane enjoying a full day of high energy fun with cousins Paul and James.

James, Keane and Paul get stuck into their Christmas stockings.

The boys test out the fort they built with a brand new scaffolding set.

Chillin with uncle Steve at the end of a busy day in his brand new snowman pajamas.

The face of the Shinkins-Doyle Family Christmas Card this year is none other than Keane Bruce Doyle. I know, big surprise right? 2012 has really been all about him anyway, so it would make no sense whatsoever if he wasn’t the feature of our festive well wishes. However, we’ve been a little delayed in getting most of the cards out in the mail this year, oopsie (embarrassed¬†face), but better late then never is what I always say and lets just look at it as our way of extending your Holiday spirit. Your welcome : )

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Baby’s Jamaican Adventure

December 22, 2012

Its all systems go tonight in chez Shinkins-Doyle. We have returned from our 48 hour trip to Jamaica and we have just over 24 hrs to get our sh*t together before we hit the sky’s again. This time its to spend time with family for Christmas. And we have so much sh*t to get done its not even funny. My head is literally spinning and my adrenaline is pumping, that coupled with the 3 cups of coffee I downed on the flight home has me too jittery to sleep. So since I’m up and bouncing, I figured it would be a good time to share some of the photos from our turnaround Jamaican trip.

I was there to shoot Jamaican sprinter and former world record holder in the men’s 100m, Asafa Powell for his gear sponsor Li Ning, but unfortunately, I’m not able to share photos from the actual shoot as they are now the rights of Sports Illustrated, China, who will be publishing them next month. But I can share some of the behind-the-scenes photos I captured. Most of which are of the worlds best assistant baby, Keane, who was such a trooper. Never fussed, not once. He actually loved every minute of the action and honestly, when you get to spend the day with some of Jamaica’s top Olympians, there’s nothing to really fuss about.

Asafa’s group begin training at 6am, so it was an early start for everyone. Keane got straight into helping him choose the right footwear for his session.

Observing the groups warm-up with Daddy and Coach Francis.

Hard to believe, but this group of world class athletes actually train on a grass track. None of your fancy Mondo’s here. Its basic all the way. Keane makes sure the ground feels just right for sprinting.

With Olympic silver medalist in the 400m from Beijing, Shericka Williams.

After lunch and a power nap, it was back to the weight-room for the afternoon session. And “when in Rome…”, one should rock their very own Bob Marley rasta onesie.

To help Asafa through a tough round of power cleans, Keane gives him an encouraging fist-pump.

Hangin with London 2012 Olympic champion in the women’s 100m, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

Part of the Jamaican World Record breaking 4 x 100m relay team at the London Olympics, Nesta Carter.

Asafa gives Keane the responsibility of taking charge of his calls.

After Daddy takes some camera-phones photos of course.

Keane absolutely loved watching Asafa do his speed-skater drills.

So obviously we had to give him a go.

The face of a dizzy baby.

Silver medalist in the women’s 100m at the Beijing Olympics, Sherone Simpson.

Daddy, Keane and assistant coach Paul Francis.

After along day watching momma work, its time for a dip in the pool.

Making friends. This is Asafa’s 2 month old baby girl, who Keane was very excited to meet.
